There are no added vegetables or carbohydrates (grains or potatoes) added to this food so it is virtually pure meat. Guar gum is present as a thickening agent that aids in the canning process and improves the texture of the food as it served. The vitamin and mineral supplementation mean that this food is not only high quality protein, it also has all the nutrients needed for a complete food for your dog.
Review of the nutrition information show that this product is slightly higher in moisture than most other canned dog foods. This makes the protein and fat percentages seem even lower than usual for a wet formulation.
