Diamond Pet Foods, headquartered in Meta, Missouri, was founded by brothers-in-law Gary Schell and Richard Kampeter in 1970. Standard Diamond brand formulas are designed to meet the specific nutritional needs of each pet. Thorough quality control
Diamond Pet Foods guarantees high quality in all of its products. The company uses a 151 checks program in order to ensure the safety of each batch of dog food. As ingredients come in, they are subjected to a battery of tests designed specifically for the individual ingredients. While the food is in production, additional tests check the safety at each production step in order to make sure that no contaminants were overlooked in previous tests. Diamond retains records of all test results in a computer system that is available for future reference as needed.
